Called Off: HAF's 2018 Photo Competition 'The Hindu American Experience'
You’re amazing and did a fantastic job. However, we didn’t do as good a job as you. Not only did we suffer some technical glitches, it seems our submission guidelines were not clear resulting in many submissions that didn’t fit the theme, as good as they may have been. Sadly, we are forced to cancel the contest at the moment. Some of you may be concerned about usage of images per our terms of agreement. As the contest is cancelled, so are the terms so you can rest assured that none of the images that were submitted will be used by HAF unless you provide us with permission to do so.
We truly do apologize and hope you consider submitting your amazing images with us again when we revamp the contest.
The HAF Photo Contest Team
Calling all photographers! The Hindu American Foundation wants your best shot!
Whether you have your camera strapped on as a career or a hobby, HAF is looking for your best photographs that capture the Who, What, Where, and How of the Hindu American Experience and give a sense of what the continuation of our ancient tradition looks like in America.
15 winning entries will be part of a first-of-its-kind exhibition on Capitol Hill during HAF’s annual Advocacy Forum Gala. One of the 15 will be awarded the HAF Choice prize selected by HAF’s panel of judges and one will be awarded the Community’s Choice prize, by you guessed it...community vote. The remaining will be featured on HAF’s social media accounts or other social media pages.
Photo entries will be judged on artistic merit as well as originality, creativity, and contemporary significance.
The contest begins on March 2, 2018. All entries must be received by HAF by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on May 18, 2018.
