HAF is looking for you! HAF seeks applications for experienced self-starters for three full-time staff positions.
The Director of Education will be tasked with promoting culturally competent, accurate, and equitable understandings of Hindu teachings, history, and traditions in K-12 and higher education. The Director would lead HAF’s Hinduism 101 teacher training program, cultivate relationships with major publishers and key stakeholders in social studies education, oversee resource development and distribution, monitor education policy nationally, and actively work on educational reform at the state and local level. The Director of Public Policy (DPP) will primarily be tasked with developing and implementing HAF’s policy priorities and initiatives, both nationally and in select states. The DPP will build relationships with other advocacy and lobbying organizations, strategically assess various congressional offices, committees, and caucuses and continue established initiatives with federal and state agencies. The DPP will work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Government Relations, and senior staff in developing advocacy strategies for HAF’s foreign and domestic policy issues. The Regional Advocacy Director will primarily be tasked with developing and expanding HAF’s presence at the regional, state, and local level. HAF is currently looking for Regional Advocacy Director candidates in the states of California, Texas, or Florida. Primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing advocacy and programmatic initiatives; and building relationships with key local, state, and federal policy makers, interfaith, civil rights, and community leaders, in order to educate them on important issues of concern to the Hindu American community. This position is new to the organization so the Regional Advocacy Director will have some opportunity to build and carry forward his or her vision and function. Skill Requirements: Fluency in English, experience with email, good understanding of HAF's work, basic understanding of Hinduism

Skill Requirements: Fluency in English and ability to speak well over the phone. While not required, sales or telemarketing experience would be useful.
Legal Advisory Team Member
Skill Requirements: Must be a bar-certified attorney.

Skill Requirements: Familiarity with the Internet, MS Excel & Google spreadsheet
